Understanding Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is the science of using postures to reveal the connection between the body and breath. These postures, called asanas, allow you to understand your body on a deeper level.
Hatha yoga benefits include helping people come into a deeper natural balance of health and wellness.
BeU hatha yoga flow classes range from basics, to more advanced, we welcome all levels from beginners to master yogis.
The meaning of Hatha in Sanskrit is often translated as force or power, yet this word is made up of two words. Ha, meaning the solar energy and fire and Tha meaning moon energy. The word describes already what the purpose of Hatha Yoga is: balancing your Solar and Lunar energies, your male and female attributes in your body and your mind. The goal is to become a wholesome being, in harmony and without any disturbances. A yoga class described as ‘Hatha’ will typically involve a set of physical postures (yoga poses) and breathing techniques. These are typically practiced more slowly and with more static holds than a Vinyasa flow or Ashtanga class
